ALCHEMY: A Trauma Informed Practice for People with a History of Addiciton

The relationship between trauma & addiction is potent and powerful. Within that relationship, there are endless opportunities to be curious and to heal. Engaging in a yoga practice that is designed to support our nervous systems can provide some steady ground our systems long for to hold and move through the complex experiences and feelings related to addiction and alcohol use disorder.
In this 90 minute offering, students will learn tools to resource and create a nurturing space for the emotional and physical body. We will use mindful movement, somatic practices, journal reflection, and simple meditation techniques to tend to our systems in a way that feels the very best to us as individuals so that we can connect to ourselves and each other. Your choice will always be affirmed. No yoga experience is necessary. This practice is appropriate for people in recovery, sober curious folks and for people still struggling with addiction.
This class will be led by a teacher who is a trauma survivor with over 19 years of sobriety.

SPRING EQUINOX RITUAL

Join our OSTARA ritual honoring The Spring Equinox!!!
Together, we will BUILD an altar using an old mirror as our center piece. We’ll shine Her up, adorn her with lots of beautiful fresh flowers, and seeds. We’ll anoint candles with herbs & oils to call on the abundance of Spring, bless our seeds and recite poetry to Persephone and the Dawn.
We’ll journey through balancing breath work, seed spells, share Eostre LORE, and get CRAFTY together creating our own personal SIGIL to paint on paper mache eggs to conjure new life and energy.
We’ll close with community, edible flowers & an Ostara inspired brew.

A mug, seeds you’ll plant this spring & lots of pink, lilac, orange, blue, & white flowers & candles.
